Description

Our OsteoBalance supplement supports optimal calcium absorption and retention to support bone health, providing 514 mg. of calcium per serving from the highly absorbable combination of calcium citrate/malate and calcium malate. The OsteoBalance formula also includes a comprehensive profile of important bone-building nutrients.
Magnesium supports healthy bone mineral density and boron plays an important role in reducing urinary calcium and magnesium excretion. Like boron, vitamin D3 is a key nutrient because it may reduce urinary calcium loss and enhance calcium absorption.

In a two-year, double-blind placebo-controlled trial, calcium citrate/malate offered excellent bioavailability and provided bone mass support for postmenopausal women with low dietary calcium intake. One study indicated that by accompanying supplementation of the trace minerals zinc, copper and manganese with calcium citrate/malate, it helped to promote healthy bone metabolism in postmenopausal subjects.
